Energy efficient lighting for VV Hardegarijp
Founded in 1962, VV Hardegarijp boasts a sports park with approximately 450 members and 25 teams playing weekly. The 1st team competes in the 3rd division, gaining national attention last season. The club faces challenges of optimizing energy consumption, especially during training sessions, and minimizing light nuisance for neighboring houses.
The solution involves installing 4 fixtures with 800-watt AS 4000K lights on 15-meter-high masts for the training field. For the main field in total 16 fixtures were installed. Eight masts at 18 meters high feature 1000-watt AS lights facing the park and eight 800-watt AS lights facing the village. All fixtures include visors and Dali converters. The outside driver boxes were mounted on the pole, so they are easily reached for any possible maintenance.
Brightness is controlled through different scenes: Scene 1 at 80% for training, Position 2 and 3 at 80% for left and right fields, and Position 4 at 100% for matches, managed through a switch to save energy and enhance lighting efficiency.
